Sloppy Joes host first show Friday

The Sloppy Joe Improv Troupe will be performing its first full-length show of the year at 7 p.m. Friday in the Jabara Black Box Theater.

The show, which is expected to last around two hours, marks the debut of two new members: freshmen Emma Mattingly and Allison Byrne join the troupe this year.
Admission is free.

Creative writing group meets on Saturdays

Newman University’s Lambda Iota Tau chapter, in conjunction with the L.I.T. Club, is sponsoring writer’s workshops Saturdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m. throughout the semester.

At the workshops, any student or faculty member can submit writing for creative suggestions and criticism.

Fall musical cast

The cast of ‘Something’s Afoot,’ Newman’s fall musical, has been decided. Callbacks included 23 students, but only 10 made the final cut. For a full listing, see page 6. The show runs from Nov. 8 to 11.
