The Lady Jets volleyball went on the road this past week facing No. 1 Dallas Baptist and No. 3 St. Edwards.
The Jets faced DBU on Sept. 20 and came up short, losing 0-3.
“Against DBU we knew we were going to have to play hard to win,” said Kristen White, graduate assistant coach. “They have great ball control and have pretty decent hitters.”
She also said, “We just need someone to step up for the rest of the team to follow, and that was a big reason we got that loss against Dallas Baptist.”
Following its loss against DBU, the team had to rebuild its confidence. It did not come against St. Edwards, the No. 3 team in the conference. The game last Saturday ended in a 0-3 loss for the Jets.
“St. Edward’s should have been a win for us,” White said. “We had the best practice we’ve ever had the day before the game, so I was pretty confident that we would come in and get a win.”
“Again, our chemistry was not there, when we lost by two in the second game and the attitudes that occured between games 2 and 3 is what did it,” White said.
