MickBie and Me: When to be thankful

Scooter’s coffee and MickBie, two of the many things Bouchard is thankful for year-round.

Why do we only say “I’m thankful for…” in November? A friend asked me that, and I’m inclined to agree. Why? There are so many things we can be thankful for – we should celebrate it year-round. So, here are some of the things I’m thankful for.

Coffee. I’d be lost if there wasn’t a Scooter’s on campus. More specifically, the 100 Scooter’s Bucks I have just for having a meal plan on campus totally make my semester.

As much as I hate it when guys sag their pants, I’m thankful for being able to laugh at whatever crazy underwear they’re wearing that day.

I’m thankful for forgiveness. Not just me forgiving others, but others forgiving me.

I’m thankful for Dr. Heck’s amazing smile. It’s hard to look at that guy and not smile back.

I’m thankful for my family and friends. Those that know what I’m going through, and those that don’t.

I’m thankful for basketball and the women here who are on the team. I love those girls – and so does MickBie.

I’m thankful for naps. Especially when I don’t have coffee.

I’m thankful for being able to find joy in the little things. They don’t have to be extravagant – just have to be real.

Alright, that’s enough from me for now. I really need to go over and see Tolli and get me some coffee. In case I didn’t say it already, I’m really grateful for Scooter’s Bucks! If you have a meal plan, you have $100, too. Go use it! And be sure to say MickBie sent you.

Oh! I’m grateful , of course, for MickBie. January, April, November, or December, I’m always grateful for her
