Newman will bus students for free to K-state, WSU games

By Matthew Fowler, Co-Editor-In-Chief

Have tight budgets or limited transportation prevented you from supporting Newman athletics at away games? Here is your chance: The men’s and women’s basketball teams are traveling to play exhibition games against two of the big D1 teams in Kansas, and you can go, too.

The Newman Athletics department is providing free bus rides, admission and food for students to go support the basketball teams.

The women’s basketball team plays Wichita State University on Oct. 29 at Charles Koch Arena on the Wichita State University campus. The men will take on Kansas State University on Halloween night, Oct. 31, at Bramlage Coliseum on the KSU campus. Seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

For the women’s game: The bus will depart Newman for WSU at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 29. To reserve a spot, visit
