It’s no secret that inflation is an issue around these parts. Gas prices are higher than the people on the side of the road. A Wendy’s 4 for 4 has turned into a 4 for 5. The next thing you know, a Hot-N-Ready from Little Caesars will be $6.
What really set me off were the prices for margaritas on Thursday night over the summer. It was a big change: Last year, we were able to go to a local Mexican restaurant Mexico Viejo and get them made with crap liquor for $1 dollar a drink.
So imagine my surprise when I went over the summer and the price had gone up a whole dollar. Spending $30 on a Thursday night was previously unimaginable to me, but I’ll be damned if they didn’t charge me for every drink I had.
We are broke college students. We can’t afford this. One needs to be able to spend $10 dollars and get the job done because we live this daily hell that is education.
I know the prices at Mexico Viejo went back down, so this argument is for naught, but when inflation once again jacks up the prices, I want the voice of the people to be heard.
Or they at least could offer a college student discount (for those of age). Or let us buy in bulk like at Costco
