Newman art students have been assigned the opportunity to make our campus just a bit brighter with a mural in Mabee dining hall.
“Kelli has been asking for a mural for ages!” said Chair of Arts & Humanities, Assistant professor Shannon Johnson.
The mural, painted by Johnson’s Intro to painting class, showcases the spirit and community of Newman. The mural incorporates the use of AI and hand sketches to create a visual culmination of Newman's catholic identity and values.
The mural is set to be completed by next week as a group project for the class.
