The annual Newman tradition of nighttime pancake eating, pajama wearing and prize winning  is almost here.

Breakfast & Bingo, an event that’s been happening the night before finals week starts since 2005, happens on Sunday and will be hosted by Campus Activities Board.

It lasts from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Mabee Dining Hall, and students will play bingo for the chance to win prizes like electronics, appliances, gift cards and gift baskets.

Senior CAB president and chair Mai Dao said that the event always gives students a chance to surround themselves with their peers, take a break from studying, and eat breakfast for dinner.

“The environment is very wholesome, and it's a perfect way to end the semester,” Dao said.

Students who are unsure if they want to attend should remember one thing.

“...They are paying for it as part of their tuition fee,” Dao said. “Some student fees are allotted to Campus Activities Board to host events for students. Therefore, students should get their money back through experiences, food, and cool prizes at CAB events.”

Admission to Breakfast & Bingo is free for all students Attendees are encouraged to wear pajamas or Jet gear.
