Have plans for homecoming week? You do now

Next week is homecoming week. Here are the events Student Life has lined up for each day:

Munchies Monday: A spread of snacks and drinks will be available in Student Life from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students can mingle and enjoy free food and music.

Bonfire Tuesday: There will be free strawberry and banana crepes in Student Life from 2 to 4 p.m. and a bonfire in collaboration with Campus Ministry at 7 p.m. in Parking Lot H in front of the soccer field.

Trivia Wednesday: Get a team of friends and family together for Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. in the Dugan Library Conference Center and compete for up to $300 in gift card prizes, all while supporting Newman’s Annual Giving Day. Tickets are available at

Homecoming Thursday: Students who attend the men’s and women’s basketball homecoming games and will first dibs on their dorm and roommates for next year. They can also have some free snacks before the game and watch the Homecoming King and Queen be crowned at halftime of the men’s game. The women’s game starts at 5:30 p.m., and the men’s game starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Fugate gymnasium, both against Missouri Western. Students can vote on homecoming candidates through the link in Wednesday’s Jet Broadcast.

Homecoming Dance Friday: Students can spend quality time with all their Newman friends while dancing to music from a live DJ, taking pictures at a photo booth, and eating even more free food. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Dugan Conference Center.
