Shaeli Munroe has been named the new assistant coach for the Newman volleyball team.

Fresh off their wins on Saturday, the men’s and women’s basketball teams are entering the final stretch of their seasons with the Heartland Conference Tournament this weekend.

Interviews are underway to find who will be the next face of Newman University athletics, and the committee should have a job offer extended to and accepted by a new director of athletics to replace Vic Trilli within a month, said Jason Pool, director of human resources.

The wrestling team competed at the Midwest Super Regional on Saturday and two Jets will be sent to compete at the NCAA Division II championships in just over a week.
